Malaysia Heart Treatment for Bangladeshi Patients: Bypass, Angioplasty & Valve Surgery
Hospitals in Kuala Lumpur · Bengali-speaking support · Halal food · Medical visa help
If a cardiologist in Bangladesh has advised heart surgery for you or someone in your family, you have probably started comparing options: Dhaka, India, Singapore, Malaysia. This page explains what heart treatment in Malaysia involves for a patient travelling from Bangladesh. It covers the procedures, where you would be treated, what it costs, how the medical visa works, and what we do at each step.
Medical Visit Malaysia is a Kuala Lumpur–based facilitator for Bangladeshi patients. We are not a hospital. We help you reach the right cardiac specialist, get the hospital’s cost estimate and visa invitation letter, and support you and your family on the ground until you are home again. Our service is free for patients: you pay the hospital directly for your treatment.

Why Bangladeshi families choose Malaysia for heart treatment
- Established heart hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. These include Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Malaysia’s national heart institute, as well as Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur and Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
- A clear cost estimate before you travel. You receive an itemised estimate from the hospital, and we explain every line in Bangla.
- Bengali support throughout. A Bengali-speaking coordinator handles your case from the first message, and we interpret during consultations.
- Halal food and prayer facilities at our partner hospitals.
- Close to home. There are direct Dhaka–Kuala Lumpur flights.
- Family can come too. The Malaysian medical visa allows up to two adult companions with the patient.

Heart treatments we help arrange
- Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) / heart bypass surgery
- Angioplasty and coronary stenting
- Heart valve repair and valve replacement surgery
- Pacemaker and cardiac device implantation
- Advanced cardiac diagnostics and specialist consultations (useful if you want a second opinion before deciding)
- Paediatric cardiac care for children
The right treatment is decided by the cardiologist after reviewing your reports and examining you. We do not recommend or guarantee any treatment outcome. Our role is to connect you with the specialist and make the process manageable.
How much does heart surgery cost in Malaysia?
Costs depend on the procedure, the hospital, your condition and the length of your stay. As a guide, a standard heart bypass surgery in Malaysia typically ranges from USD 9,000 to USD 13,000.
| Country / region | Estimated bypass cost (USD) |
|---|---|
| Malaysia | $9,000 – $13,000 |
| Singapore | $18,000 – $25,000 |
| UK / USA | $70,000 – $120,000+ |
Estimates only. Your actual cost is confirmed by the hospital in its written estimate.
Before you travel, the hospital provides a detailed, itemised cost estimate based on your reports. We go through it with you in Bangla so your family knows what is included. You pay the hospital directly; we charge patients nothing.
For angioplasty, valve surgery or a pacemaker, send us your reports and we will request a specific estimate from the hospital.
